MYNEWJOB was established in 2020 by Karen Forsman, formerly a freelance recruitment consultant for an Australian based agency. Karen founded the company with a specific mission: to provide a low-cost, efficient recruitment service for small business employers. As a boutique agency, MYNEWJOB delivers a responsive service, efficiency, and we pride ourselves on achieving great results for our clients. Based in the South Island, we are well positioned to deliver on our promise of an affordable recruitment solution for businesses in New Zealand and across the ditch in Australia.

Karen Forsman

Meet Karen Forsman, Founder, and Managing Director of MYNEWJOB. Karen has over three decades of experience working in various sectors, including insurance, import/export, banking, tourism, and hospitality.             

As an Accredited Recruitment Professional and RSCA member, Karen brings extensive recruitment and project management expertise to the table. She works closely with a diverse range of small and medium sized businesses across New Zealand and Australia.  

Karen firmly believes that thriving businesses are key to building resilience into our local communities. Her passion lies in delivering an affordable and effective recruitment service and creating connections between employers and jobseekers.

Marcel Smith

Marcel is an Accredited Recruitment Professional and RSCA member who has achieved considerable success as a Recruitment Consultant for our Administration, Finance, Transport & Logistics and Mining clients. Her expertise in these sectors allows her to identify top talent and match them with the right job opportunities.

With a focus on building strong relationships with both clients and candidates, Marcel works closely with employers to understand their specific recruitment needs and develop tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
